Peanut Butter Carob Chocolate Chip Bones Cookies { dog treats}

Warning this homemade recipe for healthy, happy and special dog!

After a few weeks of hectic chaos and just finished shooting one wedding last weekend, right now I am happy just sitting down in front of computer doing just blog walking and relaxing. I miss some of my contact's postings and this is the time to pay a visit to them.

As I mentioned before that we just adopted a dog, my son named him Maxy. A cute little dog that brings such a joy to our family specially to Nate.We like to take him for a car ride, he loves it dearly!

Peanut butter carob chocolate chip bones, the recipe is adopted from the book 'Doggy Desserts' by Cheryl Gianfrancesco.
For all the ingredient I bought at Whole food grocery store. They provide any kind of healthy organic food.

21/2 cups unbleached white flour
1/2 cup carob chips
3/4 all natural smooth peanut butter, no salt or sugar added
1 egg
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup wheat germ

*Warning : don't use regular chocolate chips. Regular chocolate can be toxic to the dog. So make sure you use carob.

How to make:

In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients. Knead the dough on a floured surface. Roll out the dough to 1/2-inch thickness, and cut out shapes with a dog bone cookie cutter.
Put the cookies on a baking sheet, 1/2 inch apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. When done, the cookies should be firm to the touch.
Turn the oven off, and leave the cookies in for 1 to 2 hours to harden.

Chocolate and peanut butter taste, he keeps leaking on it everything I gave him a treat. Well knowing he loves this treat absolutely bring smile on my face. We also shared some of these treats to friends who have dogs.
